MY APPROACH
I offer a gentle, individualised approach where your parenting style and beliefs are central to the support planWith over 20 years of experience in midwifery and nursing, more than 10 years as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and as a mother of two myself, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my work. I’m delighted to share the knowledge gained from working with so many families to Mornington Peninsula Lactation, where I provide personalised Midwifery and Lactation Consulting tailored to help each family develop and achieve their own goals for feeding and parenting.
There’s no “one size fits all” when it comes to feeding and parenting. That’s why small, thoughtful adjustments—applied at the right time in the right way—can make a significant difference. Children deserve to have their experiences respected, and together we can decode their cues to improve the wellbeing of your baby and the whole family.
With a postgraduate qualification in child development and family health in the community, I’m well placed to support you through the tricky moments, the “is this normal?” questions, and the ever-evolving needs that go beyond the early weeks.
I now have prescribing rights and am a registered Medicare provider, which means I can offer a more comprehensive level of care. This allows me to support families with appropriate prescriptions when needed and provide eligible clients with Medicare rebates for certain services. It's an important step in being able to offer truly holistic support throughout your feeding and parenting journey.

(35–37 Weeks Gestation)
Prepare for your breastfeeding journey with confidence and clarity. In this session, Elspeth provides personalised support to help you feel informed and ready. Together, you’ll explore how breastfeeding works and what to expect in the early days, while learning comfortable, effective feeding positions that suit both you and your baby. There’s time to ask all your questions about newborn care and feeding, and you'll also receive guidance on useful equipment and supplies. Elspeth can support you with antenatal hand expressing and, if helpful, debrief any previous feeding experiences.
